Amy Stapleton is an emerging artist whose practice is deeply rooted in the natural environment. She creates contemporary landscapes that shift fluidly between representational and abstract styles, with a strong focus on experimentation in mixed media.
Based on the boarder of Meanjin/Brisbane and Tulmur/Ipswich, Australia, Amy frequently explores and sketches the bushland and waterways of the surrounding regions. These field studies, combined with her interest in history and storytelling, form the foundation of her artistic process and bring a layered sense of the environment and narrative to her work.
